
Bishop Gratice Brown was a devoted spiritual leader known for his faith, compassion, and commitment to serving others. He dedicated his life to uplifting his community and encouraging people, especially young people, to walk in purpose and pursue their goals. The Gratice Brown Memorial Scholarship honors his legacy by supporting students who demonstrate character, perseverance, and a desire to make a positive impact in their communities.

Application must be submitted no earlier than March 15, 2026 and no later than April 15, 2026 at 11:59 pm EST.
Scholarship funding is strictly for educational purposes.
Each recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
When will recipients be notified?
Announcements are made on May 15, 2026 via email.
Can I still submit an application for consideration after the submission deadline?
Once the submission deadline (April 15, 2026 at 11:59 pm EST) has passed, applications will no longer be accepted.
How is the award paid?
The disbursement will be in the form of a check made payable to the college/university or trade/technical school to be added to your student account. The disbursement is for the awarding year only. The award does not carry over into a new academic year or renew. All scholarships will be awarded in 2026.
