IT TAKES TWO, INC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of young people and increasing the opportunities of youth in Anne Arundel County, Prince George’s County, and the greater Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area. Our mission is to enhance the educational experiences for young people from single parent households by awarding scholarships to address a variety of basic as well as expansive educational needs. It is our goal to promote the significance of education, build self-awareness, and encourage our youth; ultimately creating tomorrow's leaders today.

Shannon's claim to fame includes writing over one million words and has been perfecting her craft since she could hold a crayon. Her childhood summers were spent reading Sweet Valley High novels and the dictionary—by choice. Shannon started her first writing business, a greeting card company, when she was just nine years old. Writing is serious business for her.
Rhonda Boone is passionate about our youth and has worked tirelessly in our community to pursue that passion. Inspired as a young adult, Rhonda became an Educator for Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School and SHABACH! Christian Academy (SCA). While there, her love for teaching grew and she quickly developed a deep commitment to shaping young minds and helping students realize their untapped potential. She helped them to uncover their strengths and put them on a path to becoming more than they ever imagined.
Rhonda excelled as lead teacher and in 2008 was named SCA “Teacher of the Year.”
Her love for children led her to Charles Herbert Flowers High School PTSA. There, she became the PTSA Secretary, Parent Board Secretary and Mentor to the C.H. Flowers School Community.
Dr. Reid graduated from Winston Salem State University with a BA/BS degree in History and Sociology, and earned a Master’s in Theology from Life Christian University. Dr. Oliver T. Reid obtained his PHD in Christian Counseling in 2013 from Clarity International University. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry in Theology degree from Life Christian University.
Using his God-given passion to help others uncover their solutions within, Dr. Reid has traveled the world providing solutions to the masses. Dr. Reid has developed a series of solution focused empowerment workshops, coaching techniques, and conferences.
With over 10 years’ experience, Ms. Singletary possess a unique ability to think strategically, taking abstract concepts and turning them into concrete solutions. Her passion for communications is reflected in her desire to craft innovative strategies that support the development, production, and execution of high-impact, multimedia strategies that achieve successful results.
During her career, Elethia has gained a wealth of first-hand experience serving in numerous leadership and consultative roles that provide highly effective communication strategies to all levels of staff, including government officials, congressional staffers, senior managers and directors. She is a leading communications expert and digital strategist with a proven ability to elevate brand awareness, expand audience engagement, build strategic relationships, manage effective communication programs and attract influencers.
We are looking for dynamic, dedicated, creative, and goal driven individuals to fill the following open positions within our organization
We are seeking individuals that are community focused, possess a sincere desire to improve the lives of our youth, willing to be an ambassador of IT TAKES TWO, INC, and proactively promote our mission and vision. The incumbent should be a leader with a proactive attitude to achieve strategic goals.
Primary responsibility of this position is to manage all organizational events while working closely with the Executive Assistant. Duties include coordinating volunteers, building relationships with vendors and event planners, overseeing successful event planning from an organizational standpoint adhering to the vision and mission of the CEO, and scheduling planning meetings as needed.
This individual will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for researching and securing funding for organizational programs, initiatives, and activities. 10 hours per week is the desired commitment for this position.
The Communications Manager will be responsible for drafting creative, informative, and interactive email updates through MailChimp. Communications will include, but not limited to, the monthly IT TAKES TWO, INC eNewsletter, upcoming events, initiatives, scholarship opportunities, and external community events. Growth of email list is a high priority for this position.
